Tom JG de Jongh

Managing Director

Mr. de Jongh was most recently VP of International Business with HyTrust which mission is to mitigate the risk of catastrophic data center failure and data breaches. At HyTrust he was responsible for entry into the EMEA and Asia Pacific/Japan markets.

 

In a similar role de Jongh was  Senior VP with Prolexic (now part of Akamai), the world’s largest provider of mitigation services for distributed denial of service (DDoS) protection. In this capacity he oversaw all teams across Europe, Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific/Japan, and grew the business to become the dominant player in its field.

 

Before that posting he was Director of Data Protection at McAfee, which is part of Intel Security, the world’s largest dedicated security technology company. Earlier, he worked as a Product Manager at SafeBoot, where introduced several new product lines into the global market. Mr. De Jongh joined SafeBoot in 2000 and took on responsibility for SafeBoot’s worldwide marketing strategy. As a member of the executive team, he also played an important role in the development and communication of the company’s strategy, vision and positioning, and helped propel SafeBoot and its line of data protection products from startup status to a leadership position in its market.

 

Over the course of his career, he has held played numerous roles in security consulting and product management. He’s written extensively on the issue of information security, and his articles have been published in numerous technology magazines and journals. Mr. de Jongh studied International Economics at Universiteit Utrecht in the Netherlands and has a bachelor’s degree in Technical Business Administration and Marketing from the Hogeschool Utrecht.
